Flooding Implications. Peaslake Parish Councillors (Tania Florent and Gerry Reffo) challenged the statement 'Building a modest number of houses on the yard will have no impact on the volume of water draining into the water courses that carry water into the village centre' . They questioned whether the Chairman or any other councillor had the necessary expertise to make it and noted that the evidence points to the statement being incorrect.

Peaslake Flooding
Latest News
Surrey County Council Flood and Resilience Team visited Peaslake on 3 April for a site visit. The visit covered Peaslake Farm, the natural drainage system (stream) that runs down Ewhurst Road, under the Village Centre and through Peaslake Lane properties; and the walking Bottom drainage channel behind Pond Lane Car park.
They made recommendations for improving flood mitigation.
Informally they questioned any housing development on Peaslake Farmyard because of the topography of the site.
They noted how well residents maintained the drainage channel running through gardens in Peaslake Lane.
